Athletic accomplishments: coming
from a non athletic background; Heather has exceeded her
expectations of achievement from the sport of triathlon. Since
starting from scratch, she was the 2004 USAT Triathlete of the
Year, is a 6-time all American, a 3-time USA Team Member, a 5
time Ironman finisher with her best yet finish of 3rd
Professional Female at the 2005 IM Wisconsin.
In addition
to racing, last year Heather formed and led a group of female
triathletes called TEAM 4 in the race to fight cancer. Raising
funds for the 4 cancers that predominately affect women –
uterine, ovarian, cervical, and breast. In the inaugural year
TEAM 4 raised close to $100,000 in which 100% of the money went
for research of these 4 cancers. Heather is back at it again
and this year will be racing exclusively for TEAM 4, in the
hopes of gaining more exposure to help in education, awareness
