Last Sunday (11/25/2007) I raced
the most important 1\2 IM race
in Brazil. I became 9 elite and
I'm very happy with VALDORA. The
bike are amazing, every body was
looking and I can listen people
commenting how beautiful it's.
But let's speak about important
things, haha, it's fast, very
fast and the comfortable are
amazing. I rode 90km in
39.15km/h (25.47mph) in a very
wind day and with a flat tire. I
improved my best time in the
same curse by 1 minute with
these problems. When I start to
run, I had no pains and ran the
first km in 3min30seg (5min36seg
per mile) and had to go down to
my real
pace. I did the 5th best race of
the day, it was very easy to
run. In the end I improved my
best time in this half ironman
course by 2 minutes on a very
windy and hot day (and with a
flat tire). Thanks for VALDORA;
it's the best bike I have ever
ridden. AWESOME

I am still
loving my Valdora!!!! I am so
appreciative of the carbon ride
on the rough roads here in
Australia. When I put my Valdora
race wheels on last month before
leaving to race in Singapore, I
went out for a little ride here
in Auz and wow!!! it took so
much of the road shock out. I
can hardly wait to give them a
try at Ironman Australia here in
Port Macquarie in April.
Cheers,
Sherry |
Just want to let you know what a
great bike you designed. I am
still experimenting different
positions. But the bike itself,
wow, it is so beautiful and ride
is so sweet. The PHX carbon
frame is just too amazing.
Everything I want from a bike, I
can find it on this bike. I am
still considering to get a basic
Act-Tri and I may plan to take
advantages your test ride
program before I order it (PHX
is just so sweet, and it is hard
to move from PHX to any other
bike=). Some questions about
Ac-Tri. Are seat stays made by
Carbon or Alloy ? How much does
it weight (size M )?
By, any chance there will be a
clearance sales on 07 PHX?

Lake Stevens 70.3 was awesome!
In my 2nd half Ironman, I
brought my time down by 38
minutes and placed high enough
in my age group to earn a slot
in the 70.3 World Championships
in Clearwater, Florida on
November 10. The bike made a
huge difference in getting to my
run...which is my strength. It
was a close to perfect race.
Julie |
Received the bike. Built
the bike. Rode the bike. Only one word comes to mind.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care. And thank you.

Just a quick note on my first
race aboard my PHX.
After only having it for four
days, I had a great bike leg (21
mi) of the Heart of the Lakes
(long course) tri. 22.5 MPH avg
speed- close to PR for me. I am
sure I'll see improvements as I
get more used to the bike.
Please let me know- THANKS for
putting out a great bike!
Regards, Don
FYI: I did a century (IM
training) ride Saturday- I've
never felt so good after a
century! I went for a 12 mile
run afterwards for good measure.
Looking forward to many strong
miles on my PHX! |

Comments: Four words describe
the Valdora PHX. RESPONSIVE -
every bit of exerted energy is
immediately felt. This is
noticed even at the smallest
increase of effort. The PHX
seems to jump up
and over hills. COMFORTABLE -
the full carbon frame is
amazingly comfortable. This is
the smoothest bike I've ever
been on as it eats alive every
bump it goes over. FAST - this
bike really moves. I noticed an
increase in speed the very first
time on it. SWEET LOOKING - the
PHX is one of the best looking
bikes out there, drawing
comments wherever I take it.
All in all, this is an amazing
bike!!!

RE: Valdora
PHX.............wow, is it
smooth on the road. Great
response and a great feel.
Thanks,
Bill |
Your bike rocks!
Yes, it sure is different than my previous bike-thanks so
much...makes even tough elevations on roads a breeze and I
now can train without feeling like I'm carrying an extra
person! I have turned quite a few heads in town and
answered a ton of questions...since the local bike shops
carry predominately only Specialized,
Cannondale, Felt, Trek and
Bianchi. I have directed many to your site. I hope the
response helps sell additional
Valdora bikes since the PHX is a
phenomenal tri-bike! -Alex |
Very nice. I did a TT last
night with the tri club. The
bike must be good because they
were all behind me!
The carbon weave looks really
cool, but more importantly, the
fit is comfortable and
powerful. I can get more
forward on your bike. I'll take
it out for a couple of centuries
this weekend. -thanks,
joe |
| ...I am
absolutely loving my bike!!!!
.....I placed 3rd in the 40-44
and earned a spot for Kona in
October. Not quite the top of
the podium yet, but a few more
months of good training and
racing should help me get back
there :-) The (PHX) bike was
awesome!!! And I love the
wheels. They even sound fast :-)
I felt great all day and running
off the bike was great. My legs
were hardly fatigued at all.....

I ordered one of
your "red demon" PHXs from
Dragon Sports a little over a
week ago. I was looking at the
Kuota Kalibur today and there is
no comparison in my mind. I'm
so excited about my new steed
and I hope it will be here
soon! Thx for all your helpful
emails and info to help make up
my reticent mind. My plan is to
race on the new PHX (assuming
all goes well) at Ralph's Half
IM at end of March. Buddy
......................................A
few weeks later........>I have several
hundred miles on my PHX now and
it is definitely my #1 ride. Still working on getting
it totally dialed in, but I love
it. I raced on it at 70.3
California in Oceanside on 31
March. My bike split was only a
minute slower than my last race
out there a couple of years ago,
and yet I had waaaay fewer miles
in my legs, hadn't been riding
hills much, and had only about a
hundred miles on the new bike.
I raced again at Gulf Coast tri
in Panama City Beach FL a few
weeks ago and also had a great
race. I took it easy on the
bike split at the request of my
coach who wanted to make sure I
didn't melt down on the run. I
had the only red Valdora at 70.3
California and the only Valdora
at Gulf Coast.....but I was
getting lots of lusty looks and
favorable comments from others.
Folks get pretty excited with
how light it is and good
looking....and it makes them
much happier when I tell them it
is cheaper than Kuota and
Kestrel and Scott and the
others. Hope the sales are
going well on your end as you
have a winner. Buddy
|
| I love my (PHX)
bike, I've only had two races
since I bought it, but I have a
1/2 Ironman at Lake Stevens, WA
on July 8th...can't wait. The
bike is very impressive and I'm
placing well. I absolutely love
everything about it, I'm so
happy with it! -Julie |
| I raced on it
(PHX) yesterday and took
overall. I am feeling much
better and will be racing this
next weekend in the qualifying
race for Team USA. _ Laura |
|
I felt like I was flying on the
bike. My Valdora PHX with Zipps
is 16.2 lbs. Averaged over
24mph and had the 2nd fastest
bike split in the
race. ............
The 6 guys who beat me were
between 10 and 29 years younger
than me.
My PHX is the sweetest bike I
have ever owned and using
Hammer's HEED, ATPs and
Hammergels, I was ready to go.
Linc |
| This bike (PHX)
is sexy! I get looks and
comments (positive, of course)
everywhere I take it. The bike
also has heart and soul to go
along with its gorgeous façade.
The stiff bottom bracket and
responsive fork make for a fast,
controlled, smooth ride. It
climbs like a billy-goat and
corners like it’s on rails.
This bike is a fantastic
machine.- Ryan |
| I have just
bought a Valdora AC-Tri......
this bike ROCKS! I dig the paint
job and the look of the bike is
smoking hot and the ride is so
responsive, thanks I couldn't be
happier with it. - Ed |
| i picked up my
new AC-TRI. its awesome. it
has all the parts i was looking
for. there's at lot of
attention to detail
on the bike. the paint job is
killer! i started training on
it, and my first race is in
October. the guys at nu vision
were very helpful and patient.
Danny took a lot of time to
explain everything, and
how he was going about the
fitting. -Jose |
| I've ridden and
owned more tri bikes than I can
even count over the past nine
years. This one beats all of
them hands down. I'm 6'0 180
lbs. There are a lot of things
I like about this bike, but the
stiff responsiveness is up there
high on the list. My Cervelo
P3C would flex ever so
noticeably when I really got on
it hard. Not so with the PHX.
The power transfer is
unbelievable compared to nearly
all of the carbon bikes I rode
during my six month quest to
find the perfect bike for the up
coming season. The thick 12K
carbon weave was the first thing
that caught my eye. It's
beautiful. The shape of the
frame is very sleek and aero. I
like the fact that the top tube
is vertically thin so I don't
hit my knees as I occasionally
did with my other tri bikes with
horizontally thin top tubes. The
seat tube cut out is tight.
There's only about 2 mm between
the tire and the seat tube.
Very aero. The drop outs are
horizontal and the derailleur
hanger is replaceable, unlike
the QR Lucero that I tested
which was not replaceable. The
cable routing was internal
unlike the Kuota Kalibur that I
test rode. My PHX came with
Dura Ace shifters and
derailleurs, FSA SLK carbon
cranks, Profile Design Carbon
aero bar, T2 handlebar, carbon
Tektro brake levers, lot's of
carbon. Easton Vistas wheels
which have proven to be good
training wheels. I already had
a set of HED race wheels so this
worked out perfect. Over all,
the PHX will be my favorite bike
for years to come. I feel as
good going into the run on a 1/2
iron man as I do going into the
run on an Olympic distance. I
hadn't been able to say that
before. |
| I've been out
riding the PHX and it's great!
Very responsive and super
smooth. - Ryan |
| I built the bike
and raced the bike last year.
It is the only Valdora frame I
have ever seen at a tri event
along the Gulf Coast. I LOVE
this bike, David |
| took the steed
out on my longest ride of the
season so far (77 miles) on
Sunday and it performed like a
rocket ship! It sliced through
all direction of wind and didn't
wear on me! Can't wait to race
on it... |
| I LOVE my new
bike!! (PHX) It is light and
fast and handles the hills so
easily (I live in a very hilly
area, so that's important to
me). I also road it in a sprint
tri last weekend in Oregon and
won my age group and was 5th
overall. The pictures that were
taken weren't great, but I can
send what I have. They are all
transition except for the
professional picture that I'll
forward. Anyway, very
comfortable ride, I'm really
excited to have it. Passing the
cervelos makes me smile! Thank
you, Jul |
| The frame is
outstanding - built it up over
the weekend and took my first
test ride. I will
definitely recommend it to
others, and it will replace my
carbon Trek as my ride of
choice. - David |
| I just received
my two frames, Carbon
Seat Post, and Carbon Fork!
They Look Terrific!! The Finish
is great, and the weight of the
frame and fork is WAY TOO
LIGHT!! I cannot wait to build
them up and hit the road! This
IS Definitely be MY Ironman
Qualifying Rocket! I cannot
thank you enough for the great
frame at a terrific price!!! I
will be sending alot of business
your way when people get a load
of this! -Ted |
| Super ride and
looks fantastic! Thanks for
your efforts. - Dave |
I would just like
to take a moment to say that you
have excellent customer service
and it has been a pleasure
dealing with you. I look
forward to dealing with you in
the future, and again thank you
for everything you have done on
my behalf. -
Andrew |
| I have been
riding my AC-Tri for 4 months
and want to tell you what a nice
ride it is. It has made the
perfect tri bike and people seem
to be drawn to it at the few
races I have been to this year.
Great job! Best Regards, Craig |
| Let me say this -
whatever trepidation I had about
purchasing the bike sight unseen
is no long gone. |
| As for the bike,
got home around 5:30 on
Saturday, mounted my water
bottle holder under the saddle,
and took off for an easy 1 hour
spin. Getting used to the bike
took a few miles - first time
with bar end shifters, handling,
frame stiffness, etc. Very
pleased! Sunday, I went
out for a little 2 and 1/2 hour
ride - took it down PCH to
Newport and Corona del Mar and
Laguna - some decent hills -
climbed great - no flex - played
around with different seat
angles and stem heights and such
- still adjusting - but the bike
is a dream - so comfortable -
fast too - I did a time trial
where I ride a 10 mile stretch -
usually takes me around 28
minutes and change. Took me
less than 27. Love the bike - I
will definitely recommend and
will post reviews on trisite.com
and roadbikereview.com and
anywhere else I frequent. Very
pleased. Thanks for all your
help -Josh |
| Just wanted to
let you know...I have the bike
all fixed up and dialed in! I
have been riding it for about 2
weeks now and love it! In fact,
I broke her in on a 100 miler
last Sunday and she did great!
Thanks again! Gregg |
| i got up to 50
mph the other day on a huge
hill, could have gone faster,
but for some strange reason, my
hands were
squeezing the brake levers, this
bikes aero package is slick!!!
my other frame would not slice
thru air like this! will be
taking it on a 120 miler next
sat- did a 40 miler last sat,
was very comfy. no problems
whatsoever with any aspect of
the bike. will keep you posted
after the century. thanks, mike |

Roadbikereview.com
Bike Setup:
Dura-Ace
Zipp 404 wheelset
Summary:
Beautiful frame engineered to
the finest of tolerances
(internal cable routing, rear
wheel cutout and aerodynamic
tubing throughout). Smooth lines
and the best long course frame
geometry I’ve ever ridden!! My
perceived effort and HR were
down while holding pre-PHX power
levels.
I received the
bike about 2 weeks before an
Ironman race and was a bit
unsure whether I should ride it
or stick with old faithful for
the race…. After a couple of
rides on the PHX the decision
was made. Swwwweeeeeet ride!!!!
I had a PB bike and run on my
way to a qualifying spot for
Hawaii. This is an attention
grabbing frame w/ no corners cut
during production. Valdora PHX:
Soon to be a household name in
the TT/triathlon community.
Strengths:
-Internal cable routing
-Aerodynamic Rear wheel cutout
-Aerodynamic tubing throughout
-Aerodynamic seat post
-Stiff BB and frame for MAXIMUM
power transfer
-Striking appearance
-Economically priced for a bike
of the calibur.

Valdora PHX
Bike Setup:
Full pro aero package
Zipp 909 wheelset
Summary:
The Valdora PHX is the fastest bike I have ever ridden. It is super lightweight, stiff, and extremely responsive. It performs exceptionally well on uphills, downhills, flats, and turns, pretty much all possible conditions.
Let's not forget about aesthetics either. This bike turns heads at all venues. The naked carbon fiber yield a beautiful finish, no need for a paint job.
I didn't put the bike together myself, but had it assembled and fitted at my local shop. Cables were routed internally. A few parts (stem and seatpost) had to be swapped during my fit, but I had no problems there either.
I couldn't be happier with this bike and the value I got from my purchase. I would recommend it to anyone interested in competing at a high level in triathlons or time trials.
Strengths:
-aerodynamics
-weight
-stiffness
-handling
-aesthetics
-compatability/easy to swap parts
-value
-most importantly, the bottom line, SPEED. I don't think you will find a faster bike in this price class.
Weaknesses:
The engine is the weakest thing on this bike. Nothing else noteworthy. |

Bike Setup:
Ultera 6600 compo group
FSA Gossamer crank
DC 188 aero brake levers
Easton Vistas
Horizontal drop outs for
easy wheel loading,
replaceable rear
derailleur hanger,
dual water bottle
mounts,
full internal cable
routing,
all carbon V-1 360 g
aero fork,
Summary:
The Valdora PHX is flat
out the best bike I have
ever ridden. It hit the
market early in '06 and
I literally picked up
one of the first
production models built.
It is light, rigid and
super fast. although TT
/ Tri bikes are not
known for climbing I
immediately took 10% off
my graded hill climb
times and continue to
get faster. On the flats
I average between 3-4
mph faster than on my
last bike.
Strengths:
Right out of the box the
bike comes ready for the
game. Carbon Fiber seat
posts, extremely nice
Valdora custom seat, CF
aerobars. What is really
cool is that the seat
steam is a universal
fit. If you are partial
to your own
seat post or want to
save money, switch your
current post over. The
only other seat that
gave me such comfort is
the Serfas Tri seat.
The cables are all
internal to the frame so
their is nothing to hide
the naked CF frame and
minimalist detailing.
The all nude CF frame
when cleaned up shines
beautifully and shows
the great detailing in
the cross fibers. There
is no paint job or large
decals to disrupt the
flow of naked power.
While researching
frames, the PHX has a
higher CF rating for
strength and rigidity
than most other CF
frames from bigger
brands that cost a
thousand more per frame.
The bike comes with
Ultera compo but the
company has different
packages for your
specific type of riding
and performance.
Weaknesses:
Only mine. This bike
makes me look better
than I am.
Similar
Products Used:
First full CF frame so
not much comparison but
its faster and lighter
than my last bike a 2004

lot right there. |

Look keo carbon pedals;
BP Stealth carbon

saddle; Wipperman chain;
Mavic Open Pro training
wheels w/ PowerTap; Zipp
404 tubular race wheels.
Summary:
I have been on the PHX
for just over 3 months.
I transfered the
components from my
previous
time trial bike to
the PHX so the comments
about the performance
relate directly to the
frame and not the
components.
The frame is light and
has a very cool, thick
carbon weave which looks
awesome in the sunight.
Finding a comfortable,
yet powerful position
was easy due to the
sloping top tube and
frame size. On my first
ride, I immediately
noticed the
shock-absorbing
characteristics of the
frame; the bumps in the
road were absorbed into
the frame and not my
body! Out of the saddle,
the frame was responsive
and quick. I was able to
accelerate quickly and
climb aggressively. The
bike is very comfortable
in the aero position for
extended periods of
time. The balance of the
carbon and the stiffness
led to a fast,
comfortable ride.
I am very pleased with
the performance of the
PHX. I am producing more
power over longer
periods than I did on my
previous TT bikes. The
geometry and carbon make
the PHX a comfy and
powerful. Plus, the
frame is awesome to look
at. At races and group
rides, the PHX gets lots
of looks and comments.
This is the best frame I
have ridden. I am 100%
pleased with the
customer service and
quality of the bike.
Strengths:
The frame is well
constructed. The
internal cable routing
gives a very
streamlined, clean look.
The frame is stiff and
responsive. The naked
carbon weave looks
great. This bike also
descends very well.
There is no shake or
lack of control even at
very high speeds.
Weaknesses:
no weakness regarding
the PHX frame or its
performance
